ZONE 1 Representative - Anne Carnahan - ACarnahan@onboces.org

 

Anne Carnahan is a New York State Certified Cosmetology Instructor at Orleans Career and Technical School in Medina. She has over 35 years of industry experience and began her CTE career as an aide for 4 years at OCTEC and has now been teaching for 8 years. She has a BS degree in CTE and Vocational Education through Buffalo State College and along with teaching she continues to work part time at Logics Hair Salon in Amherst, NY. 

ZONE 2 Representative - Don Entwistle - dentwist@btboces.org

 

Don has been the Criminal Justice Teacher at Broome-Tioga BOCES for the past 16 years.  He was previously a Teaching Assistant with Herkimer BOCES.  He has spent many years in the law enforcement field as a police officer, and completed his educational requirements for teacher certification at SUNY Oswego.  Don has over twenty years experience in Career and Technical Education.  Don is also currently serving as President of the CJS/TECI (Criminal Justice Studies Technical Education Career Instructors) of NY State.

ZONE 2 Representative - Nicole Hadsell - NHadsell@ocmboces.org

Nicole is a Cosmetology teacher with Onondaga-Cortland-Madison BOCES in Cortland, NY. She completed her BS and MS in Career and Technical Education (CTE) at SUNY Oswego in Oswego, NY. She has been involved in the field of Cosmetology and CTE for the last 14 years. In addition to teaching full time, she continues to work part time at Cheveux Salon in New Hartford, NY.

ZONE 3 Representative - Peter Desmond - peter.desmond@questar.org

Peter Desmond, CEC, AAC, CSFE, a 1981 graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park, New York is the culinary educator for Questar III Columbia Greene Educational Center who utilizes the National Restaurant ProStart curriculum and offers ServSafe certification.

ZONE 4 Representative - Brenda Moore - brenda.moore@ouboces.org

Brenda has been a cosmetology teacher at Orange/Ulster BOCES for 21 years.  She is an alumni of the program, earned her AAS in Business from SUNY Delhi, her BS in Vocational Technical Education from SUNY Oswego, and has worked in several salons throughout her career.  In addition to teaching, she continues to work in her own salon, and is an examiner/assistant supervisor for the NYS Cosmetology Practical Licensing examination.

"BIG FIVE" Representative - Theresa Calabrese - tcalabrese@scsd.us

Theresa has been serving as a Cosmetology Instructor at the Syracuse City School District for past 18 years.  Theresa completed her BS in Vocational Teacher Preparation from SUNY Oswego, and has been a New York State Cosmetology State Board Examiner for 30 years. In total, she has over 38 years as a New York State Licensed Cosmetologist.
