Professional development has been one of the greatest challenges faced by CTE Teachers over the past decade.  Traditional workshops tend to be geared more towards primary educational settings, not that they are not useful, but PD that is geared more to the needs of Trade and Tech Teachers, especially in the areas of academic integration and the ever changing workplace in today's rapidly changing world.  NYSTTTA is committed to identifying and providing PD that not only provides the CTE teacher with useful instructional strategies, but also provides opportunities to work with business and industry to learn first hand the challenges that they are facing with finding and  securing new employees that are productive and reliable.  Strategies will include many different approaches to providing both large group and individual settings to foster growth.
